scrappy saturday & digi sunday combined

Since I got convinced by hubby to put up the Christmas tree yesterday (there was pouting involved), time just flew away from me and I didn't get to post a traditional scrap layout for scrappy saturday. So today you're getting a double post today.
I'm trying to share a little bit more of who I am these days because a lot of my personality goes into my artwork. So the layout above is one I designed to showcase some of my favorite things. Each of those little squares is actually a 3x3 card that can be opened to reveal journalling inside.
I decided to use a black, white and red color combo because it's seriously my absolute favorite color scheme to work with. Some of my favorite things are: books, music, shoes, purses, buttons, the ocean/water, flowers and ice cream! The photo is a candid shot one of my best friends snapped of me on our wedding day.

This digi page is one that I want to get printed on a wall or desk plaque. It's my favorite quote, one from Maya Angelou. I totally admire that woman. We could all do to have just an ounce of her wisdom. I'm going to have to look through my digi kits and come back and fill in the credits because it's been a while since I created this one and I have no clue!

And now I'm going to run because I have a little bit of down time that I can use to create something and I still have a tiny bit of Christmas wrapping to do! Have a wonderful Sunday :)
